I have worked tirelessly to promote student learning. When I started at the school 5 years ago, only 35% of students read at grade level. Now, 69% read at grade level.
I have created many reading incentives like a reading Olympics to promote at home reading. I have organized summer reading programs, and have implemented a take home library for all students in grades K-2.
During my secondary internship I aligned the new Utah Core Teaching Standards to examples that can be found within classes, helping teachers know and understand the best practices they should be using in their classrooms.
A school administrator is an educational leader who promotes the success of all students by advocating, nurturing, and sustaining a school culture and instructional program conducive to student learning and staff professional growth.
